A beautiful day

20 October 2011

Psalms 135:7 He it is who makes the clouds rise at the end of the earth, who makes lightening for the rain and brings forth the wind from his storehouses.

Last night we had rain, and  according to the rain gauge about 8mm, this morning the sun is shining and the sky is clear. The wind is crisp and cool with the trees no longer dust laden and the new leaves shimmering in the clear sun light. Walking and looking at the gardens with the fresh smell of rain brings a hope into our hearts and a joy in our spirit. We water for days and we never get the same result as one rain shower, when God does it He does it well!

So each of us need a little rain in our lives, that rain from God that washes us clean that refreshes us and where His light is reflected off us because we are no longer dusty. It is so nice to feel alive again, to feel the wind, see the sun and marvel at the pictures the clouds paint in the sky. We often forget it is clouds that brings the rain, sometimes with lightening and thunder, so when we have clouds hanging over our heads we need to be reminded that God is going to bring His rain in our lives.

Be encouraged today to recognise God’s hand in your clouds, He is bringing rain.

David

Point to ponder: God brings rain in it’s season.

Question to consider: Do you complain about the clouds?
