Zechariah 14:20-21 And on that day there shall be inscribed on the bells of the horses, "Holy to the LORD." And the pots in the house of the LORD shall be as the bowls before the altar; and every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be sacred to the LORD of hosts, so that all who sacrifice may come and take of them and boil the flesh of the sacrifice in them. And there shall no longer be a trader in the house of the LORD of hosts on that day.
To live in the presence of the God on a daily basis is both possible and attainable, it takes us to realise that we cannot live any other way. When we say that God is everywhere and He lives in our hearts, then how can we live as if this is not true. To remind us of this fact we need to have His Name, ‘Jesus’ visible around us and on the things we use. The pot we cook in is His pot, the food in the pot is His food, the home we have is His home and the office we work in is His as well. All that we do, all that we are is then focused on our Lord, so the food we eat, the money we earn is all a sacrifice to our Lord.
The entrance to our homes should be marked with His name, on our roof we should display a cross so that all can see we live in His shadow. Our coming and going should be in prayer, our business should be in prayer, so that we do all for Jesus, because every sale is His sale, and He shares in our success. So as a result there will be no need to have fetes to raise money for the church, because all will give what belongs to God with joy.
Be encouraged today to live in the presence of our Holy God.
David
Point to ponder: We need to live with reminders that Jesus is our Lord.
Question to consider: Do you work, live and breathe the presence of the Living God?
