Psalms 38:9 Lord, all my longing is known to thee, my sighing is not hidden from thee.
Life has its ups and its downs, and sometimes in some situations little crisis’s can become issues. How we respond to these depends on our ability to place our trust in those around us who care for us and in so doing also place our trust in God. On Monday I went to have a check up with the Doctor that did the knee replacement and the wound is healing well, my bending and stretching is on track. Before I could go home however I had to have a ‘doppler’ exam on the veins in my leg and they found a clot in the vein in my calf. Immediately I was hospitalised and put on treatment for deep vein thrombosis, this treatment will continue for some time to come.
What was the lesson? I had done all that was required of me, why did this happen, why me? I understand that nothing happens without a purpose and in this purpose I see the hand of God leading them to find the clot. If they had not, what then? I also now have such empathy and understanding of the fear of death, and the great faith one has to put ones life in the hands of God in absolute trust. It is easy to preach it but hard to do.
Be encouraged today to see God’s hand in all situations, both what we may see as good or bad.
David
Point to ponder: Trust God.
Question to consider: When life is challenged, how do you respond?
