Integrity

20 April 2012

1 Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy.

To have integrity is something to be cherished and nurtured, a person who has integrity is honest, trustworthy, loyal, kind and understanding. To do business with people who have integrity is always open and honest, guarantees hold value, costs are up front and you know you do not have to look for a better price, because a person with integrity has your interests in mind. This does not mean that you are not business minded, or putting others first at the cost of your business, it means that your integrity is priceless and of such value that you protect it at all times.

In this society today the driving factor is money and profit, and today’s deal is more important than business integrity, turnover and profit margins drive people to ignore the ethics and so allow corruption to enter into their thinking. We look at corruption in high places and condemn this, yet we participate in this when we become self-seeking and profiteer out of others. In a country that is corrupt, honest people become scarce, so each of us should place a value of our integrity above that of making money and using people to do so in the process.

Be encouraged today to realise your integrity is priceless, a jewel in God’s garden.

David

Point to ponder: Your integrity is God’s jewel, do not tarnish it.

Question to consider: Do you have integrity?
