Geoff and Goofus part ways after 32 years

Geoff and Goofus and yes the dam is very green, but it's beautiful

Geoff has decided to sell his Mistral yacht Goofus after more than three decades of fun in the sun at Hartbeespoort Dam. The decision was eventually an easy one. Soaring club membership fees and a bad back added up t  making the sensible choice. Still it was a wrench for our "techie" Elder.

The Jamiesons came around to casa Van Heerden on Friday night..They are currently on train with their new Corolla heading home to the Cape. This is quite a nifty option. You can load your car onto a flatbed and then sit back for 28 hours, while the train does all the hard work. It was great seeing them. And would you believe that this is one of the Corollas, that has been recalled to have its accelerator fixed. Fortunately the Jamiesons are intact and the "fix" takes only two hours. They'll have it done next week.

Geoff is currently up to his ears in 2010 as there are are fewer than 12 weeks to go before the World Cup kicks off. This will mean less time to play with the Blog, so be patient and await an update notification, which will mean that he has been busy.

Blessings,

The St Mark's Editorial Team.
