Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.
The hardest question to be answered is ‘how do we live a life that is pleasing to God?’ Many people will give different answers and suggestions but at the end of the day only we can answer that question for ourselves. I believe we all want to do what is right, we all want to be loved and to love, we all want to have some meaning to our day so that our living makes a difference in this world. Most of us live to please ourselves and then feel guilty because of it, but what if pleasing ourselves also pleases God?
What is the will of God for you and me, because when we come to terms with His will in our lives and it becomes as part of us as it is as part of God, then when we please ourselves in what we do, we do it in the will of God and so what we do pleases God. We all know what does not please God so we simply stop doing those things. When we do this the Kingdom of heaven dwells in us and with us, so we seek God’s will in us which is the same whether in this life or life everlasting. So many of us seek the extraordinary and the phenomenal instead of seeking the ordinary and the mundane, it is in the latter that we are more likely to find God’s will for us.
Be encouraged today to please God by doing things with joy that pleases Him
David
Point to ponder: Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Question to consider: Do you live a life that pleases Jesus Christ?
