Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.
The Lord is good, He is more than adequate, He is superior to all, and when we are in need He is able to meet all more than adequately, more and beyond what we may expect or even need. He is also our stronghold, the place where we are safe within His presence, He is the centre of who we are and when we realise it we are in that secure refuge of a living relationship with the Living God.
Each of us will have days of trouble, times when all we seem to do is never right and we are rejected or shouted at, when we do not have enough, enough love, enough food and what we have never seems to be enough. It is then that we understand that God is enough for us, and for the situation we are in. It is then that God knows those who take refuge in Him, those who trust Him and know that where they are, is where God is.
The difference between those who know God and those who do not, are those who when the day of trouble arises know God and turn to God. We learn about God and who He is to us in times of seeking, in times of good days, so that when the dark days come, we know His light that leads us through the darkness.
Be encouraged today to recognise who our God is.
David
Point to ponder: God is our stronghold.
Question to consider: Does God know you?
