Peace

Psalms 4:8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for thou alone, O LORD, makest me dwell in safety.

How wonderful it is to have peace, a peace in your mind, a peace in your heart, a peace in your soul and a peace in your body, to be at peace. This peace is not the peace of the world, but a peace that is a gift from God, a special Holy Spirit peace that comes form being right with God, right with your neighbour and right within your self. Many people will try to steal your peace, to destroy your peace, will be jealous over the peace that you have and they will try all kinds of ways to upset your peace. For some people have lost the understanding of what true peace is and they seek that peace by doing, by chasing the wind, even if they do this in all kinds of religious ways. True peace comes from being at peace with God.

The peace that comes from God is beyond the understanding of the human mind, it is simply resting in the peace of God. If we are driven to save souls, if we are driven to constantly be doing things, when we cannot rest and must always be doing something for God, the question we need to ask is are we then at peace with God? It is when we trust the peace of God, we then come to that place that we are only safe when we are safe in our relationship with God.

Be encouraged today to be at peace with God.
