Jesus is Allah

2 August 2011

Revelation 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.

The word Allah means God in Aramaic or Arabic, so when we say that Jesus is God, we are actually saying that Jesus is God. In our understanding of God we understand this in and through our concept of the Trinity or Triune God, a God who is One, but has been revealed to us as God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. They cannot be separated from each and are always One; this is the mystery about the nature of God and beyond our human comprehension. Jesus Christ is fully God and is fully Allah, and so can never be a prophet or just some holy man as Mohamed is in Islam.

Yet Jesus Christ was born of woman, flesh and blood, capable of suffering and death, which He experienced on the cross at Calvary, as a man He was resurrected from death, lives and reigns at the right hand of the Father. God became flesh and that flesh was Jesus Christ. We all were created in the image of God and the fullness of that image is, and was and is to be Jesus Christ. Abraham met with Jesus Christ and ate with Him, Moses met with Jesus Christ at the burning bush, Paul met with Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus, and so each of us meet with Jesus Christ on our own journey of life. We believe this simply because God is ONE!

Jesus Christ came to save all including the Jew, the Moslem, Hindu’s, and all the world, because He so loves the world.

Be encouraged today to proclaim Jesus Christ is Allah.

David

Point to ponder: Jesus Christ is God.

Question to consider: Do you accept the mystery of the Trinity?
