Dear All,
Unfortunately there is st0ill no clarity on Moshe’s funeral service, because there is a strike of municipal workers in Pietermaritzburg and no autopsy has therefore been done as yet. As a result it is also not known whether Moshe’s body will have been released before the weekend.
If the funeral is this weekend I think we should postpone Session till next Saturday 19th, as I am sure Solomon will want to be in Maritzburg and one or two other Elders may wish to go too.
A memorial service will be held in Johannesburg, arranged by Presbytery, at a later date – also no finalization there yet. I will will circulate as soon as something is finalized.
ear all.I have heard more bad news - Maureen Naven's brother, who was 80 years old, has passed away yesterday. He had been sick for few days. May God strengthens those left behind. Love Solomon.
ReplyDeleteHello friends.I spoke to Beth at lunchtime Eunice and her daughters left for Maritzburg today. The funeral is planned for Saturday, but this will depend on whether the body will be released from the mortuary. Moshe’s laptop and cell phone are also missing. Poor Beth has been inundated with calls from parishioners, who are understandably in a state of shock. She has also been busy trying to contact anyone who knew Moshe, outside the church family. Love Marianne.
