Rev Moshe Rajuili killed stepping off bus

Rev Moshe Rajuili .... his passing has left the world a poorer place

6 March 2011

Dear friends,

It is with great pain that the Online team brings you this news. Our session clerk Elizabeth White called yesterday afternoon to confirm that Moshe, our Interim Moderator for so many months and mentor to Solomon, had been killed in a an accident in Pietermaritzburg.

Moshe and Eunice had travelled to the Western Cape to celebrate the birth of their twin grandchildren, Eunice then flew home to Johannesburg, while Moshe caught a bus to Maritzburg to check on their house. On alighting from the bus, a taxi, whose breaks were faulty, slammed into Moshe, killing him.

Solomon and Giyani went around to visit Eunice last night, but she had been sedated. Session met this morning to see if there was any way which we at St Mark's could assist. The decision was to await for word from St Giles as to how we can best assist.

Moshe will always be remembered as the man who gossiped the word of God. The world is a sadder place for his passing, but there is no doubt that he is with the Lord.

Blessings,

The St Mark's editorial team.

  2. Geoff - The news is just heart-breaking and Margaret and I are so sad. Moshe was such a wonderful person, a practical Christian and one of the world's gentlemen. We will not forget this good man whom we admired and loved, and we grieve for Eunice and his family.

  3. Very sad on the passing of the doctor. He was well loved and respected among the people of the presbytery. He was with us just a few weeks ago at St John's, Turffontein bringing us God's message. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to him whenever I could. A brilliant teacher and a faithful servant

  4. Hi Geoff
I am still reeling at the shock of your message on Saturday. Indeed we know that Moshe is safely in the arms of Jesus, and concerns of course focus on Eunice and the family. Our Prayer Group meets at our Church in La Lucia on Monday evenings and certainly Moshe's family will be high on our prayer list. God Bless them and God Bless you Geoff for keeping us all informed of what is happening at St Marks.
    Love

  5. The news of the passing of Rev Dr. Moshe Rajuili, has certain delivered an unbearable shock - which will take a long time to overcome. We enjoyed his preaching of the Gospel every Sunday morning at St' Giles Presbyterian Church. The love and fellowship that he and his wife brought to our lives will always be remembered. Mama Eunice and family, please remain strong as we grieve with you and pray to God that the wonderful memories that he has left us with will be the antidote for the pain inflicted by his passing.
We have lost a Good man, and we will miss him a great deal.
May his Soul rest in peace with the Lord.

With Love from our family, Abey, Pumeza, Hlanga, and Karabo Mamaregane
