Faith in difficulty

Romans 12:12 Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Sometimes being disappointed and disillusioned seems to be the opposite of being positive and filled with faith, yet when we are both of these it does not mean that we are negative and have no faith. It just means that what we thought would happen hasn’t, and because it hasn’t something better will take it’s place. The emotions we usually feel at times of failure are usually triggered by the passed and the way we have experienced problems and failures. This then allows our past experiences to control out future ones.

As a Christian we should be able to overcome our past, no matter how traumatic and sad it may be, not by dwelling on the past, but by looking forward. On our own we cannot do this and that is why it is so important to be in fellowship and a caring community. When we are isolated and alone we have no support other than our own intellect, so it is necessary for us to find friends that we are able to love. The more love we give them, the more love they are able to give.

Be encouraged not to loose faith in times of difficulty.

David

Point to ponder: The more love you give, the more love you get.

Question to consider When things go wrong who do you share it with?
