Team Winners

12 January 2012

James 5:19-20 My brethren, if any one among you wanders from the truth and some one brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

If you have the right team selection, and the plans are well laid, the field of play is not the main issue, it is the attitude of the team towards achieving its goal that is important. To do this the leadership must set the example through positive attitudes that the goals are not only attainable but that no matter what the opposition they are achievable. People enjoy supporting a winning team.

Now you may not realise it but you have been selected to be part of a team as well, and this team is there to win souls for Jesus Christ. Our problem of course is that often we are part of the team but we do not understand the plans, and what the goals are that we are expected to attain, and we do not even know who our real opposition is. The result is that we win so few souls. To change this requires us to be more active in the formulation of the game plan, develop a winning attitude in the team, with each person in the team trained and understanding what is expected of them.  With this in mind and you being part of the team, we need to get others in our team to realise that we need to start winning.

Be encouraged today to be the team motivator in your local church.

David

Point to ponder: we are soul winners for Jesus Christ.

Question to consider: Are you developing your local team (church)?
