Ralph Bricknell passed away in George on Monday morning at 09h00 due to heart complications. Ralph was Ceridwyn Jamieson's father. She and her two sisters, who came out from the UK and her brother Ed, had spent the last three days with him. Geoff joined them on Monday afternoon.
Ralph was an ordained minister who taught himself the wonders of IT when he was well into retirement. Ralph and Martie (Ralph's second wife) retired to George where Martie is still ill but stable. Ralph was 88 and had led a full life.
Geoff will conduct the funeral service for his father-in-law on Thursday. Ralph and Ceridwyn's mother Marcia attended services at St Mark's when Geoff and Ceridwyn were ministering to us in 1990's. They are now at the Congregational Church in Claremont.
They thank all of those, who upheld Ralph in prayer and we will continue to pray both for Martie's recovery and for comfort for Ceridwyn and her brother Ed Bricknell and sisters, as they come to terms with their loss..
