Dear friends,
This seems to be a common query and your editorial team has therefore investigated and has come up with a simple process for you to try.
1. The assumption is that you have just read the article you want to comment upon.
2. At the end of the article you will see the word "comment" and next to that a picture of an envelope with a little black arrow on it.
3. Click on the word "comment" and make sure you avoid any contact with with the white envelope, which has completely different functionality. This is where you send the article to a friend.
4. Having clicked on the word "comment," you will need to wait a minute or two depending on the speed of your internet connection, for a blank white pane to render on your screen. This is where you can write quite a lengthy comment.
5. Then you take your cursor down to "Comment As." Click on the little drop down menu - the little downward pointing arrow thingy on the right of the box - and choose an option from the list. Choose for "anonymous."
6. You are almost done. You can now choose to Post Comment, which launches your comment onto the web site or you can preview your comment and then post it.
7. There is one other variation on a theme. Google may ask you to retype a word that is displayed on screen into a white block on your screen. This is a simple verification process to ensure that you are not a machine generating SPAM.
7. Close the web site and you are done.
The St Mark's Editorial Team.
